Sailing Trips

There are many different types of trips you can take on a sail boat. The length of time of your trip will depend on the amount of time you have to sail. Most people take sailing trips. There are some people who take longer sailing trips. A very few people have taken very lengthy sailing trips that have led them around the world.

The most common type of sailing trip is probably day sailing. Day sailing is when a person takes their sailboat out and comes back in within the same day. These people sometimes sail up and down the coastline with land always in sight. Sometimes people just sail out from one direction and return straight back into land. Most people who do this type of sailing will leave early in the morning and return around sunset.

Another popular type of sailing trip is the short trip where land is always in sight. These trips usually last for a few days. The people sailing will head in one direction and continue in that direction until they reach their destination. They will often eat and sleep while on the boat. Sometimes they will dock at marinas along the way to check out towns and explore the land. Once they have reached their destination they will turn the vessel around and return to where they started from.

The extended short trip is also another popular type of sailing trip. These trips often last for a few days up to a few weeks. The people sailing on the ship usually do not keep land in sight at all times. They usually have maps and other items that will help them navigate their boat so they do not become lost. Many people like to sail from Florida to the Bahamas as an extended short trip.
